Job summary

Kraft Heinz Davenport Plant is seeking a Project Engineer to direct and coordinate engineering projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and strong safety and quality practices. The role emphasizes planning, cost controls, and cross-functional collaboration with factories and suppliers.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Engineering or equivalent experience, strong technical and analytical skills, and familiarity with SAP or CMMS and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field preferred or at least one year of full-cycle project engineering experience.
• Strong background in mechanical and hydraulic systems, packaging methods, materials, electronics and computer applications, and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of SAP or CMMS; AutoCAD preferred.
• Willingness to learn ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, boiler systems, waste treatment and electrical systems.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical and business documents.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and with successful attainment of objectives.
• Completes specific phases of the project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans and product testing.
• Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
• Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.
• Prepares interim and completion project reports.
• Provide functional and technical support to the factories to minimize production and maintenance problems.
