Job summary

Flooring Services LTD is seeking a Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and order of our East Bernard facility. The role involves daily cleaning tasks across offices and plant areas, with emphasis on safety and timely execution.

The candidate should be able to lift heavy items, work with urgency to meet hourly goals, and have a high school diploma or GED. Experience in manufacturing janitorial work is beneficial and trained employees are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Strong sense of urgency to complete assigned daily duties.
• Able to meet hourly and daily goals.
• High school diploma or GED; work experience may substitute.
• Experience in janitorial or custodian roles in manufacturing is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of offices and plants in a timely and safe manner.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Dust furniture and surfaces.
• Clean windows and glass surfaces.
• Disinfect restrooms and empty trash and recycling bins.
• Spot clean carpets and rugs.
• Assist with special projects or events as needed.
• Restock cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times.
