Job summary

Manchester Tank and Equipment seeks a Custodian to maintain a clean, safe manufacturing environment and support production areas, restrooms, and offices. Duties include cleaning floors, sanitizing spaces, removing waste, and operating cleaning equipment to meet safety standards.

Ideal candidates are dependable, with good communication skills and attention to detail, and able to work overtime as needed to meet production demands.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum production floors, hallways, and office areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and locker rooms.
• Remove trash, recycling, and industrial waste following facility procedures.
• Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other cleaning equipment.
• Restock supplies including paper products, soap, and PPE.
• Support spill cleanup and assist with basic hazard containment.
• Look for opportunities to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.
• Follow all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
• Read, understand, and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
• Shut down process if unsafe.
• Follow proper machine shutdown procedures (if/when needed.)
