Job summary

Sun Chemical Corporation is seeking a Plant Controller to direct all financial and accounting functions at the plant level, aligning with GAAP and corporate policy. The role involves budgeting, variance analysis, cost accounting, and inventory valuation, partnering with plant leadership to drive cost efficiency and profitability.

The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Accounting/Finance and 5–7 years in manufacturing finance, with strong communication skills and SAP/MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Accounting/Finance as the required degree.
• 5–7 years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, math and GAAP application skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with department heads and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all financial and accounting functions at the plant level.
• Prepare budgets, annual operating plans and forecasts; track variances.
• Monitor cost accounting, inventory reporting and valuation.
• Maintain internal controls and coordinate audits.
• Provide financial data for profitability studies and capital projects.
• Assist in cost reduction opportunities and strategic initiatives.
• Lead others and work with plant leadership and corporate functions.
