Job summary

JTEKT North America Corporation is seeking a Plant Controller for our Morristown, TN manufacturing site to ensure the integrity of plant financials and drive cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to management.

In this role you will lead inventory accounting, capital project analysis, and cross-functional finance initiatives, ensuring SOX compliance and IFRS alignment while partnering with operations to improve plant performance.

Qualifications

• 4-Year degree in Accounting; business-related fields considered with appropriate experience.
• 10 years progressive experience in finance/accounting in manufacturing, with at least 5 years as a Controller/Manager.
• CPA / CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees preparation of weekly and monthly Profit and Loss statements and related metrics.
• Ensure integrity and timely close of plant month-end financials with production variance analysis.
• Analyze and approve capital requests and monitor CIP spending.
• Manage inventory accounting including standard costs and asset capitalization.
• Lead bi-annual financial planning and consolidate data for objectives.
• Support audits and cross-functional plant teams; participate in cross-functional project teams.
• Lead J-SOX activities and partner with shared services.
• Other financial analyses and projects across plants as needed.
