Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, CA is seeking a materials and warehouse operations leader to oversee the movement of material, classified parts and spares from receiving into the warehouse, and to monitor inventory levels against company goals.

You will lead a team across multiple manufacturing areas, implement material flow strategies, and use MRP/SAP to maintain production schedules, while attending status meetings and resolving issues with other organizations.

Job description

We are Lockheed Martin As a member of the Palmdale Receiving Center Operations (RCO) team, you will be responsible for managing the efficient movement of material, classified parts and spares from receiving into the warehouse. You'll monitor inventory stocking levels and engage other organizations to assist in maintaining company owned inventory goals and metrics. You will also be responsible for a group of subordinate employees in providing support to multiple manufacturing areas across the site and implementing material flow strategies for existing and new ADP programs. To succeed in this role, you must be a self starter, posses thorough interpersonal skills, have the ability to lead and guide subordinates, and be able to utilize MRP (Material Review Processes), SAP.

To succeed in this role, you must be a self starter, posses thorough interpersonal skills, have the ability to lead and guide subordinates, and be able to utilize MRP (Material Review Processes), SAP. You may attend / chair status meetings advising management of the status of work in progress, and material availability. You must have the ability to resolve issues that may arise in the manufacturing process by interfacing with all supporting organization and be flexible, open minded and capable of managing multiple tasks. This role also provides you with the ability to collaborate with Labor Relations and Human Resources to enhance employee engagement.

Manages the Make, Buy and / or Bill of Material (BOM) planning activities associated with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) transactions. Manages one or more multiple manufacturing activities within various manufacturing functions. Maintains production systems integrity to drive inventory optimization to minimize cost. Expedites and optimizes material flow through the supply chain to meet customer requirements. Coordinates with manufacturing and Operations Management to provide shop floor control on make parts, analyzes and controls production schedule and capacity requirements, executes the plan, provides timely status and expedites or works around plans to preserve schedule. Coordinates with Supply Chain Stakeholders including Procurement and Operations Management to determine appropriate time phased plan for procured parts and executes processes to ensure deliverables meet production schedule requirements. Maintains MRP parameters including lead times and lot sizes and coordinates with Engineering and Change Board Rep to make the associated changes to the BOM. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Basic Qualifications

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $81500.00 - $151300.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
