What You Will Do
  • This is a Weekend Shift Opportunity: Friday - Sunday, 3 x 12-hour shifts, 5:00am-5:30pm.
  • This position provides training to individuals with little or no machining or grinding background to become Certified Operators.
  • Attend a 3-week training program followed by 4-8 weeks of on-the-job training.
  • Learn to set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes, or VTCs for routine production.
  • Work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instructions to set up equipment for various machining operations.
  • Verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Obtain operator certification to accept/reject parts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machines.
  • Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, programmers, and production personnel to resolve machining issues and develop parts processes.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • High School diploma or GED.

  • 1+ years of manufacturing, automotive, or related trade experience.
  • Ability to perform computations involving decimals and fractions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
