What You Will Do
  • This is a Weekend Shift Opportunity: Friday - Sunday, 3 x 12-hour shifts, 6:00 am - 6:30 pm.
  • This position offers training for individuals with little or no machining or grinding background to become Certified Operators.
  • Attend a 3-week training program followed by 4-8 weeks of on-the-job training.
  • Learn to set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes, or VTCs for routine production tasks.
  • Work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instructions to set up equipment.
  • Verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Obtain operator certification to accept/reject parts.
  • Perform maintenance on machines through total preventive maintenance (TPM).
  • Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, programmers, and other personnel to resolve machining issues.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
