The Company

Position Summary

The Temporary Operator will work in our Felt or Roofing Department at the Cleveland Plant. Responsibilities include starting up, troubleshooting, and operating manufacturing and production equipment safely to meet or exceed production standards. This position may transition to a regular union role after successful completion of the probationary period. During probation, the role is on 1st Shift; upon confirmation, the shift may change to 2nd or 3rd depending on plant needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operate manufacturing equipment safely, following safety rules and guidelines.
2. Communicate effectively with Team Lead and Supervisor during shift changes and throughout the shift.
3. Operate HMI stations to ensure safe and efficient line operation.
4. Monitor metrics such as weight and speed along the production line.
5. Operate forklifts to move raw materials and finished products.
6. Prepare raw material batches in mixers according to specifications.
7. Conduct quality control tests on batches per guidelines.
8. Ensure correct labels are used on taping machines.
9. Fill pails, drums, or totes with products, label them, and palletize.
10. Follow Tremco's Escalation Policy for safety or quality issues.
11. Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the immediate and surrounding areas.
12. Assist in other departments or perform additional duties during downtime.
