Job description

The team member is responsible for multiple manufacturing projects as required by a supervisor and team lead. The job duties include but are not limited to the following:

Key Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and quality environment.
  • Maintain the productivity throughout the shift and make necessary corrective action when deviations occur.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other members for a seamless shift to shift transition.

Experience/Requirements:

High School Diploma.

Must be able to work weekend hours. Overtime may be required.

  • Participate in the team huddle at the beginning of the shift.
  • Ensure the shift start up goes smoothly.
  • Be part of the team and share team members' duties.
  • Perform all daily and run-to-run checks.
  • Willingness to carry out cross-training with other departments.
  • Must be technically inclined with mechanical skills.
  • Experience with problem analysis and resolution and reporting and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures while offering suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Experience with 5S considered a plus, but not required.
  • Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
  • Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, and competency.
  • If any personnel challenge arises, seek support from the team lead.
  • 5S the area and encourage members to keep the area clean and free of hazards.
  • Experience with networked PC-based computer systems (Excel, Email, and MRP).

Working Conditions:

  • Good working conditions.
  • Safety glasses, closed-toe shoes, and job-specific PPE required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting 20 lbs, walking or standing for extended periods.

Safety Requirements:

All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent EHS standards.
