Job summary

Vishay Thin Film is seeking a 3rd Shift Tape & Reel Operator in Niagara Falls, NY. You will set up and run multiple tape & reel machines, monitor performance, and ensure paperwork and labels are accurate. The role emphasizes timely workflow, quality control, and proper documentation within a manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write to interpret production documents and accurately record required information.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using a learned method or a calculator.
• Eye-hand coordination and good manual dexterity to accurately process small parts manufactured.
• Organizational skills to maintain a clean workstation.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instruction to take work direction accurately.
• Qualified to perform multiple jobs and has the responsibility of training other employees.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust automatic and manual tape & reel and peripheral equipment as necessary
• Report equipment down time to Supervisor/Technician
• Prepare proper paperwork and labels for the reels
• Organize work in order of due dates and ensure they progress on schedule
• Monitor the output and quality of parts assigned within the department

What you will be doing

• Set up and run multiple automatic and manual tape & reel machines per the instructions on the traveler
• Monitor and adjust automatic and manual tape & reel and peripheral equipment as necessary
