What You'll Work On

1. Operate all packaging equipment according to established procedures or specifications.
2. Clear jams and resolve downtime issues on the line.
3. Report abnormal equipment functions or product problems to the Supervisor.
4. Operate equipment safely and report all incidents, injuries, or safety hazards promptly.
5. Maintain a clean and safe work area using all 5S cleaning and organization tools.
6. Keep accurate records such as Production Counts, Material Usage/Losses, and document information on Batch Work orders as per company procedures.
7. Follow product isolation procedures, sampling, and proper identification of product status.
8. Ensure adequate supply of materials to the equipment, monitor usage, and manage releases.
9. Troubleshoot and adjust equipment to maintain quality performance.
10. Verify products and materials for proper identification, codes, and expiration dates.
11. Inspect products and materials visually and physically for quality.

You will be responsible for complying with standards including FDA, OSHA, and Abbott policies and procedures.

Shift

This is a night shift position (6:30 pm - 7:00 am EST) with a 12-hour rotational schedule.

Schedule Example:

Week 1:

Work: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday: 6:30 pm - 7:00 am EST.

Days Off: Wednesday and Thursday.

Week 2:

Work: Wednesday & Thursday: 6:30 pm - 7:00 am EST.

Days Off: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate line information effectively to production and support staff.
• Ability to read and follow work order documents.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, support other departments, and provide line coverage as needed, including overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a plant production environment, preferably in drug, food, or beverage manufacturing.
• Forklift certification.

The base pay ranges from $15.55 to $31.15 per hour, with variation depending on location.
