Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Production Specialist at our Altavista, VA site within the Nutrition division. This role operates high-speed production equipment, maintains packaging materials, completes work orders, and performs quality checks to help deliver our nutrition products.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months of manufacturing experience, and strong communication and troubleshooting skills to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Work On

• Perform quality checks

• Clean equipment and the production environment

• Troubleshoot equipment issues

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• 6 months prior manufacturing experience

• Good written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical troubleshooting skills and the ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals

• Experience with tools and equipment related to the position or experience as a Sr. Production Equipment Operator is desired

The base pay for this position is $19.05 – $38.15 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
