Job summary

General Mills in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring for an Associate Operator to join our manufacturing team. The role offers 8-hour shifts across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts with overtime eligible and a standard benefits program.

You will operate and monitor packaging lines, perform routine troubleshooting, and support continuous improvement efforts. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of manufacturing or production experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of manufacturing/production experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot machinery and work with maintenance to resolve issues.
• Calibrate processing and packaging systems to meet specs.
• Participate in startup, changeover and shutdown of equipment.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives to boost performance.
• Assist in training new employees.
