Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd. is seeking a Manufacturing Operator in Tampa, FL to support brand-new processes in a fast-paced environment. This onsite role emphasizes safe, compliant operations and opportunities to learn advanced packaging and labeling tasks.

Key requirements include a HS diploma or GED and experience in a pharmaceutical GMP setting. You will work with a collaborative team, adhere to safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Experience in pharmaceutical GMP environment preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning and sanitizing.
• Ability to maintain professional, confidential interactions with sponsors and partners while adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to proactively stop work to ensure safety.
• Flexibility to take on additional duties as assigned.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to high‑quality, compliant operations.

Responsibilities

• Dispense raw materials, sample, prepare media/buffer, and install filters.
• Coordinate receiving and sorting return product and rework.
• Dispose of product per local regulations.
• Pack, handle materials, operate and maintain equipment in their areas.
• Troubleshoot in respective areas.
• Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations.
• Mentor less experienced workers on equipment use.
• Adhere to Safety and Sustainability requirements and seek clarification when unclear.
• Report safety issues to management and correct where possible.
• Stop work when necessary to maintain safety.

What you will do

• Competent in performing activities such as raw material dispensing, sampling, media and buffer preparation, filter installation and sample preparation and submission independently.
• Coordinate and perform activities including receiving and sorting return product and rework.
• Disposal of product in accordance to the local regulations.
• Perform tasks such as packing, materials handling, operate and maintain equipment in the respective areas of work.
• Able to do trouble shooting in respective areas of work.
• Identify areas for improvement and make recommendation.
• Mentor less experienced workers to help them use production equipment or resolve problems.
• Adhere to all defined Safety and Sustainability requirements and expectations and seek clarification whenever Safety and Sustainability requirements and expectations are either unknown or unclear.
• Promptly report identified Safety and Sustainability issues, problems, deficiencies, errors, incidents, and/or opportunities to management and correct where possible.
• Stop work where deemed necessary to maintain safety.

What we are looking for
