Job description

Job Title: Manufacturing Operator

Preferred Materials, part of CRH South Division, is a leading supplier of ready mix concrete, concrete block, rebar, and building materials in Florida. Headquartered in Tampa, with operations in five key markets, we serve municipalities, developers, architects, engineers, contractors, builders, and suppliers. We prioritize safety and quality in our work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery including forklifts and concrete block manufacturing equipment
• Perform maintenance tasks such as removing/installing molds, cleaning machinery, and making adjustments
• Handle physical tasks including lifting up to 40 pounds, shoveling, sweeping, and debris removal
• Work in enclosed spaces and climb into machinery for repairs

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Availability for 2nd or 3rd shifts, including weekends and over 40 hours/week
• Commitment to safety standards and procedures
