Client Impactful Work
The Operator position will collaborate closely with production leads and managers within the Manufacturing Services department to support production demand and ensure the achievement of company goals following the 4i values.
A Day in the Life
- Responsible for signatures as review on SOPs and other work instruction documents.
- Understand and communicate workflow and technologies used in the production environment.
- Manufacture and/or test complex products following cGMP and complete all vital documentation in accordance with Quality System, recording information such as weight, time, and date packaged.
- Share standard processes.
- Set up and operate production floor equipment, including troubleshooting and adjustments under the guidance of a Production Operator Lead or Supervisor.
- Start, stop, and regulate the speed of conveyors.
- Read and interpret work orders to set up materials online, verify, and count required amounts.
- Inspect materials, products, and containers at each production stage.
- Assist the Production Operator Lead in job assignments and advising other operators.
- Insert or pour product into containers or fill from spouts or chutes.
- Obtain and sort products.
- Wrap protective material around products.
- Weigh containers and adjust quantities.
- Close and seal containers, sort bundles, label containers and products.
- Pack special arrangements or product selections.
- Make entries in the QAD System related to material use.
- Reconcile and dispose of materials related to the job (Line Clearance).
- Clean and sanitize work areas, machines, and equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve scheduling, equipment, and logistics issues.
- Support engineers in process improvement and equipment validation activities.
- Adhere to ISO/cGMP Quality System Regulations, focusing on SOP accuracy, product quality, and housekeeping.
- Follow all written procedures, report discrepancies, and work safely with PPE.
- Participate in PPI, Lean, and 5S programs, troubleshooting processes to deliver solutions.
- Perform other duties as required by management.
Keys to Success
- High School Diploma or GED, with 1-2 years related experience or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to use electronic management systems like QAD and Oracle.
- Machine operation experience preferred.
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
