Manufacturing Operations Supervisor – 1st Shift (Onsite)

Position Summary: Join Collins Aerospace as a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor on the first shift in Burnsville, MN. This onsite leadership role drives production excellence and continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all quality related items for multiple cells or a complex cell are complete and documented to meet established quality standards.
  • Guide cost reduction and process improvement in multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
  • Plan and execute scheduling for multiple cells or a complex cell to meet production schedules.
  • Guide the sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for multiple cells or a complex cell to optimize productivity.
  • Facilitate activities for materials and logistics problem resolution for multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.
  • Guide production innovation, including additive manufacturing, for multiple cells or a complex cell to enhance production capabilities.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service.
  • Ensure all employees have a safety-first mindset and are adhering to EH&S policies.
  • Execute production plan in line with the MPS (Master Production Schedule) to achieve on‑time delivery, hours, and efficiency commitments.
  • Real‑time problem resolution and troubleshooting issues as they arise without the direction of management.
  • Effectively manage resource requirements in line with capacity models and demand rates.
  • Pulse survey participation, listening to feedback and driving improvement actions.
  • Lead and conduct meetings/reviews and prepare information to communicate the status of the programs to internal and external customers.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices or, in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
Qualifications – Preferred
  • Lean certification.
  • SAP proficiency.

  • Proven ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate early and concisely with individuals at all organizational levels.
