Description

SetPoint Medical’s Manufacturing Operations Specialist (MOS) will work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Program Management, Clinical, and Purchasing functions to ensure the efficient, timely, and cost-effective management of production builds and supply chain processes.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable, with experience in Class III medical device manufacturing processes and controls. Strong communication skills are essential, as SetPoint operates exclusively through contract manufacturers. The MOS must excel at multitasking and navigating shifting priorities within a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

This position is in office, Monday - Friday, reporting to company headquarters in Valencia, CA.

Requirements

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage production schedules to ensure on-time completion of component and assembly builds, as well as in-house work orders.

• Verify component availability to meet production order requirements and adjust plans accordingly.

• Plan and prioritize manufacturing activities to maintain consistent component and device availability.

• Develop and maintain accurate, detailed reports to monitor progress against program and production schedules.

• Create and update work instructions, process travelers, and related documentation.

• Maintain accurate cost of goods (COGs) records for assemblies and finished products.

• Generate and distribute semi-annual supplier performance reports, including forecasts, key performance indicators (KPIs), and yield metrics.

• Coordinate supplier progress calls, documenting action items and ensuring timely follow-ups.

• Track and communicate production job status updates to internal stakeholders.

• Collect and report supplier yield data, including finished product counts and defect rates.

• Support supplier performance initiatives, including quality improvement efforts and periodic reviews.

• Prepare quarterly supplier and manufacturing forecasts to support production and purchasing strategies.

• Provide general operational and logistical support across the organization as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience in scheduling, production control, or purchasing, preferably within a Class III medical device company.

• Start-up or high-growth company experience is a plus.

• Experience with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems.

• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP Systems; NetSuite knowledge is a plus.

• Solid analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.

• Comfortable with routine physical activities, including bending, pushing, and pulling.

Travel Requirements:

Minimal travel; opportunities may be available based on interest and business needs.
