Job summary

Easy Aerial, a Brooklyn-based, drone-in-a-box manufacturer, seeks a Head of Manufacturing Operations to scale hardware production and build the operating system for high-quality, on-time delivery.

You will own production planning across in-house and contract manufacturing, drive capacity models, and establish weekly operating cadences. The role emphasizes systems, processes, and accountability to enable rapid growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or related field.
• 6+ years in manufacturing operations or related fields.
• Hardware/defense/robotics manufacturing environment experience.
• Strong capacity planning, scheduling, inventory and KPI knowledge.
• Proven ability to create SOPs and dashboards in fast-moving settings.
• Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, production, quality, finance, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing operations planning across in-house production, contract manufacturing, supply chain, quality coordination, and delivery readiness.
• Build capacity models to identify labor, material, process, vendor, and production bottlenecks.
• Create the weekly operating cadence for production, supply chain, contract manufacturing, and shipment readiness.
• Develop SOPs, production workflows, handoff processes, and accountability structures across manufacturing operations.
• Establish clear KPIs for production output, build cycle time, shortages, rework, supplier issues, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement projects that increase throughput, reduce rework, improve quality, and reduce ad hoc heroics.
• Partner with production leadership to improve internal assembly, integration, test, and finalization processes.
• Partner with contract manufacturing leadership to improve outsourced production readiness, schedule adherence, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and finance to ensure production plans are realistic and executable.
• Create dashboards, trackers, and operating tools that give leadership clear visibility into what is on track, what is blocked, and what decisions are needed.
• Help Easy Aerial scale from low-volume production toward repeatable, higher-volume manufacturing.
