Job summary

Astec, a global infrastructure and manufacturing company, seeks a Manufacturing Manager to oversee all plant operations in the United States, ensuring on-schedule production within quality and cost objectives. You will lead process development and major projects, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, or business administration
  • 4-year technical degree in related discipline
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must have leadership skills to enable development of teamwork among shifts and departments
  • Good human relations including the ability to work closely with others
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, and email

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Maintain and improve the organizations competitive advantage.
  • Coordinate major projects.
  • Facilitate daily communication with production staff regarding performance, process improvements, safety and quality.
  • Develop and deploy the production schedule.
  • Manage work order openings/closings and stock control transactions
  • Ensure department KPIs are met and drive improvements.
