Job summary

Permobil is seeking an Operations Manager at our Belleville, IL facility to lead area managers, drive lean manufacturing, and align operations with quality and safety standards.

The role focuses on developing KPI driven improvements, managing budgets, and building a high-performing team while upholding Permobil's values and continuous improvement mindset. Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration/management, operation management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and supervise area managers.
• Develop, measure, and improve against KPIs related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Serve as a member of the leadership team on the site modeling Permobil values and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Ensure safety of all personnel within the facility through building a strong safety culture and modeling safety leadership behavior.
• Identify areas of improvement and lead projects that will improve our cost of goods sold in line with our business strategy.
• Build a well-trained and motivated staff.
• Identify and escalation maintenance and building issues.
• Ensure plant housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Develop and hold account operating budgets and recommend plant capital expenditures.
• Improve our quality system through production and maintain compliance to ISO standards.
• Work closely with managers and their teams to promote and build a positive and productive work environment, teamwork, strong work relationships, trust, morale, and retention.
