Job summary

Graphic Packaging International, a leader in paperboard and packaging, seeks an Operations Manager to coordinate Production Engineering, Tool/Die, and Production Planning across multiple areas. You will lead teams, drive safety, quality, and efficiency while managing budgets and cross-functional collaboration.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree or have related work experience, with strong people skills and a track record of shaping operational performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related work experience required in lieu of degree.
• The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Direct, leverage, and guide the work of others; manage two or more direct reports.
• Monitor and achieve operational and/or financial results for the area of responsibility.
• Perform people-management actions including hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees.
• Ensure quality standards are met within each department and safety standards are maintained.
• Foster a respectful, engaged workplace culture and adapt plans to meet short-term challenges.
• Lead one or more sections or a small department and coordinate with other areas to meet objectives.
• Provide guidance to subordinates to meet schedules and solve technical problems.
• Interact with internal personnel and outside representatives at various levels and participate in meetings.
