Job summary

Land O’Lakes, Inc. seeks an Operations Manager to lead the Omnium production departments, directing safety, environmental, quality, production, customer service and cost objectives while driving process improvements across manufacturing areas.

You will manage production staff training and development, coordinate with plant management and the technical group to allocate resources, and build strong customer relationships through reliable, cost-conscious operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years manufacturing leadership experience or 8+ years leadership with HS diploma.
• Ability to interpret financial accounting information.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Talent management and development skills.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, email and Microsoft Office programs.
• Familiarity with emergency response and incident commander responsibilities.
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to drive process performance and improvements to maximize profitability.
• Develop and approve production batch procedures ensuring safety and quality.
• Meet budgeted financial plans, control expenses and minimize repairs.
• Provide customer support and liaison with customer support group.
• Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly reports.
• Enforce safety policies and work rules.
• Lead process safety management programs and hazard analysis activities.
• Coordinate with plant management for resource allocation and scheduling.
