Job summary

Altium Packaging is seeking an Operations Assistant in Fresno, CA to support manufacturing operations, purchasing, inventory, and scheduling. The role includes processing orders, coordinating with the production team, and ensuring timely fulfillment.

The candidate will manage shipping, cycle counts, and vendor interactions while maintaining accurate records in JDE and Excel. This is a full-time, on-site position with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Hands-on background with purchasing and inventory in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with production scheduling, procurement, customer service and shipping.
• Coordinate with production scheduler to ensure on-time fulfillment.
• Oversee shipping activities and ensure accuracy of shipments.
• Operate within the JDE inventory system and Excel workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operations orders with customers and support purchasing and inventory.
• Enter production reports and place purchase orders for stock items.
• Perform cycle counts and manage bi-monthly inventory checks.
• Coordinate with vendors to schedule deliveries and receipts.
• Provide feedback on status of work orders to teams.
