Job summary

MP Materials Corp. in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Project Manager for Manufacturing Operational Excellence to drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives across the Magnetics division, partnering with Operations, Quality and Engineering to raise throughput and quality.

This role focuses on standardizing processes, reducing scrap, and implementing data-driven improvements through CAPA and KPI dashboards, with exposure to expanding manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 5+ years in manufacturing or operational excellence roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading Lean Six Sigma or operational improvement projects.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, plant operations, quality systems, and process optimization.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, statistical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean Six Sigma projects from conception through execution.
• Drive process improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, improving throughput, increasing uptime, and enhancing product quality.
• Utilize PDCA, DMAIC, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and root cause analysis to improve performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and reliability.
• Develop and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to enhance process capability.
• Support standardization of manufacturing processes and best practices.
• Facilitate Kaizen workshops and cross-functional continuous improvement activities.
