Job summary

TSG - The Sheridan Group Minnesota is hiring a Manufacturing Operating Technician - Bindery. You’ll be trained to run high-speed bindery equipment, contributing to the production of books, catalogs and printed materials used daily.

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you. You’ll learn setup, operation, troubleshooting, and data recording on a fast-paced, team-oriented production floor, with opportunities for long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.).
• Able to read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.).
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Ability to work on a fast-paced, team-oriented production floor.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up, run, and maintain all sections of the Machine.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to machine and auxiliary equipment.
• Interpret work instructions and accurately record production data.

We’re hiring 3team membersready to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in print manufacturing.

What You’ll Do:

• Learn to set up, run, and maintain all sections of the Machine.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to machine and auxiliary equipment.
• Learn to interpret the information on work instructions and accurately record production data.
• Exercise initiative, ask questions and look for ways of improving productivity.

What We’re Looking For:

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.
We’re looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry(manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team
• High school diploma/GED.

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift.
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor.
• Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
