Job summary

Fathom is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Methods Development team in Texas. You will translate customer documents into manufacturing steps, work with Solidworks, and coordinate with sourcing, production, and engineering to optimize processes for CNC, metal finishing, cleaning, and assembly within an ISO 13485 or similar environment.

You will develop new manufacturing techniques to meet evolving customer needs, ensure accuracy of processes, and support profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC manufacturing in both manual and automated production environments.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proficient with Solidworks or other CAD programs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams and/or SharePoint.
• Finance experience, especially P&L responsibility, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review customer documents and input operations, materials, and outside processes into ERP.
• Use Solidworks to develop the described processes without paper documents.
• Collaborate with sourcing to ensure alignment and execution of sourcing activities.
• Work with production supervisors to address improvements in methods.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of developed methods for competitiveness and profitability.
• Lead special projects and answer technical questions about manufacturing parts.
• Review ECOs/modifications for impacts and communicate results.
• Contribute to new services and efficiency enhancement projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve design for manufacturability.
