Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in LEAN and Kaizen principles.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Improves new and existing manufacturing processes for cost reduction, quality, or efficiency.
• Coordinates between production teams the manufacturing launch of new/revised processes and equipment.
• Completes design and development projects by documenting ISO compliant work instructions, training, and guiding technicians.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Performs other duties as assigned by department supervisor
• Maintain technical data logs relating to manufacturing processes
• Leverages engineering techniques aid in trouble shooting product quality for trail and non-trail products.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineerposition supportsthemanufacturingofadhesive andabrasivecoatingoperationsat Jessup ManufacturingCompany.This is achieved by optimizing cost-effectivemanufacturingprocessesandmethods in accordance withproduct specifications andquality standards,recommending.

and implementing improvements to productionprocesses, methods,andcontrols; coordinatingmanufacturing launch for newor revisedproductsand equipment; Leads the specification, vendor qualificationand implementation of new equipmentandprocesses. The effectivenessofthis positionwillbemeasured by the performance improvement fromthe baseline cost,efficiencyorutilization ofthe project completed.

Responsibilities

This is achieved by, planning workflow, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, equipment, layout and materials; soliciting input from operators, equipment suppliers and industry experts.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent

• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
• History of progressive responsibility
• Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs
• Experience with CAD programs a plus
