Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer to lead NAFTA manufacturing engineering for powertrain programs, including trays/frames, castings, engines and transmissions. You will guide a diverse team to develop and launch processes that meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets across NM, NNM and adaptation projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology or technical equivalent.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years manufacturing experience; powertrain experience is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years in program management or multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong oral, written, presentation and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, Statistical Process Control, tooling, jigs & fixtures design, machining processes.
  • Ability to translate data into executive summaries for presentation.
  • Ability to analyze and present data clearly to all levels of the company.
  • Experience with SPW principles and leading in a bargaining unit environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams developing powertrain manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute large-scale projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to mentor employees and lead teams; strong leadership and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of cost studies and strategic planning is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Manufacturing Engineering for North America powertrain programs (NM and NNM) and adaptations.
  • Guide engineering teams to develop and launch processes meeting safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Oversee RFQs, sourcing, evaluations, design, manufacturing, and installation of air/mist/coolant collectors and filtration systems.
  • Manage NM/NNM program facilities aspects including site preparation and machine installation.
  • Lead Flow activities to ensure on-time, on-budget program delivery and track Iron Triangle metrics.
  • Implement Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) and deploy SPW tools; drive root-cause problem solving.
  • Develop/improve process and equipment standards related to facilities infrastructure.
  • Support engine and transmission plants across listed locations; maintain global CoC relations.
  • Drive standardization across plants and regions; collaborate on Product Design for Manufacturing.
  • Lead procurement, design, build, install, qualification and launch of facilities and process equipment.
  • Support Stellantis Production Way initiatives; provide NAFTA facility competency.
