Job summary

The Gund Company in Cedar Lake, IN is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Material Handler to support order fulfillment and inventory control in a non-climate-controlled plant. The position is 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday, with an hourly wage of $21–$24 based on experience.

Responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, storing, pulling and staging materials, ensuring FIFO, and maintaining accurate records while following safety guidelines (HAZCOM/HAZMAT).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Strong basic math skills and ability to use measuring tools.
• Ability to understand drawings and blueprints.
• Forklift operation experience and use of hand tools.
• Overtime flexibility to meet production needs.

Responsibilities

• Material Handling: receive, inspect, store, pull, and stage materials for fabrication.
• Inventory Accuracy: verify documentation, match packing slips, resolve discrepancies.
• Safety Compliance: follow HAZCOM/HAZMAT guidelines.
• Order Fulfillment: pull and stage materials based on FIFO and production schedules.
