Job summary

TMD Staffing is hiring a Manufacturing Material Handler in the northwest area of Houston (77055). The role is in-person, shop/warehouse environment with 5am-3:30pm shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include moving stock with a forklift, counting and verifying material, and maintaining movement logs. Candidates must have forklift experience, high school diploma, and strong communication skills to work effectively in a team setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Reach truck/forklift experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate forklift safely and accurately.
• Lift up to 50 lbs., occasional 60 lbs.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Job Order # 57355 Branch: 51 TMD Staffing is looking to hire a Manufacturing Material Handler in northwest area of Houston, 77055 area!

WORK ENVIRONMENT

In-Person, Shop/Warehouse

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Ensure accurate of all physical and electronic material movements material of stock.
• Count and verify all material based on work order or packings lists.
• Transfer stock between department and areas using forklift and handheld scanning deviceCommunicate with zone leads and department heads of issue with movements in system of physical.
• Work, safely, quickly, and efficiently to handle stock in various functions throughout the building.
• Maintain daily equipment and movement logs, to ensure safety operations.
• Engage in problem solving and support continuous improvement.
• Keep a spirit of learning and a desire to grow as a team member.
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment.
• Available to work overtime as business needs require.
• Perform other related duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Reach truck/Forklift experience
• Inventory and material control experience
• Pass driving reach truck and forklift test
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• Strong written and verbal communication skillsgood computer skills to function in job role
• Must be able to operate a forklift
• Must have very high-quality standards and degree of accuracy and organizational skills
• Solid work history that demonstrates reliability
• Able to work on your feet for 8-hour shifts and lift 35-50 lbs.
• Able to carry up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Only candidates authorized to work in the United States will be considered

PAY

$15-16/hour

SCHEDULE

5am-3:30pm, Mon-Thursday, but flexible to work Friday’s, overtime and weekends as needed
