Manufacturing Engineering Manager
We're seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of engineers in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment focused on complex, precision-built components. The company emphasizes continuous improvement, technical leadership, and high standards in CNC machining.
Base pay range
$125,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and hands‑on support for multi‑axis CNC machining operations (primarily 5‑ and 7‑axis milling).
- Manage and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and CNC programmers (3–5 direct reports).
- Lead major process improvement projects, capital expenditures (CapEx), and new product introductions (NPI).
- Instill a culture of operational excellence using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S frameworks.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, quality, and management to drive process efficiency, quality improvements, and plant initiatives.
- Direct involvement in automation initiatives and technology investments.
- Maintain strong floor presence while balancing project and people management duties.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical foundation in CNC machining (high complexity, multi‑axis, high‑mix/low‑volume).
- Project management experience and a proven track record implementing process and productivity improvements.
- Hands‑on leadership style, capable of both managing and mentoring a technical team.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience and/or airfoil component familiarity highly valued, but top priority is deep practical CNC experience.
- Experience with Mastercam, NX, or similar advanced CAM tools a plus.
