MME Group - A Seaway Plastics Company is seeking an experiencedManufacturing Manager to lead and coordinate all production operations for maximum efficiency and performance. This role ensures alignment with MME's Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Culture goals. The Manufacturing Manager also works closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and cultivate a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to meet operational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless end-to-end production flow.
- Ensure products are manufactured to specifications, quality standards are maintained, and deliveries meet customer expectations.
- Proactively identify and address potential production issues by removing roadblocks and working with cross-functional teams.
- Partner with Human Resources to recruit, train, evaluate, and recognize employees.
- Champion MME Group’s Core Values and culture, leading by example and fostering a respectful, inclusive workplace.
- Prepare and present technical reports for short- and long-term planning and performance tracking.
- Develop and implement systems and metrics to measure and improve production efficiency.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to analyze returned products, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead productivity improvement initiatives to drive year-over-year cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Provide clear direction, development opportunities, and leadership to managers, supervisors, and production staff.
- Drive employee engagement and retention through development, coaching, and recognition.
- Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards across all production areas.
- Expedite or adjust schedules as needed to overcome delays, bottlenecks, or unforeseen disruptions to meet customer deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid identification and authorization to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong focus on results with the ability to lead change while fostering a positive team environment.
- Demonstrated success implementing and sustaining continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Hands-on leadership style with a visible presence on the production floor.
- Strong customer service mindset and responsiveness.
- Confident, decisive leadership with strong relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Commitment to fostering employee engagement and a strong organizational culture.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems (Epicor experience preferred).
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment; regular walking and stair climbing required.
- Ability to interpret written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
