Job Description

Responsible for all aspects of Production, converting raw materials into finished products that meet quality and cost requirements.

Manages supervisors and team members in the consistent running of food processes through coaching and instruction as needed.

Facilitates all necessary training to support delivering required KPIs.

Ensures consistent execution of policies and procedures through Team Leaders and collaboration with other managers, including HR.

Ensures production schedule is met, understands the impact of scheduling on other departments, and leads discussions to resolve conflicts arising from downtime, test runs, sanitation, and other obstacles.

Develops and manages departmental budget for material usage, labor, supplies, and training. Analyzes projected sales and product mix trends to minimize manufacturing cost.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree required; Engineering Degree highly preferred or advanced engineering coursework successfully completed. First Aid Certification, Hazmat Certification, Lockout/Tagout License, Valid Driver’s License.

Experience

A minimum of seven years experience with responsibility in a production/manufacturing setting required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of HACCP, GMPs and AIB.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills to supervise professional and non-professional staff.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal and state laws, regulations, and operating guidelines.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
  • Computer literacy; able to interface with PCs and Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.
  • Clear and effective communication.
  • Good analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical literature necessary to support job requirements.
  • Knowledge of regulatory policies as they apply to C.H. Guenther.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises and monitors work performance, collaborates with other supervisors or administrators, makes hiring and disciplinary decisions, evaluates program/work objectives, and realigns staffing assignments as needed.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Daily exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, or noise. Physical risks include mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards.

Requires standing, sitting at a desk, walking around office and plant, lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds, and fine dexterity to inspect equipment. Requires good vision, hearing, and communication with all levels of associates and external vendors.

Personal protective equipment will be provided.

Salary & Benefits

Salary range: $95,938.00 - $178,010.00. Compensation may vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
