Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of production, converting raw materials into finished products that meet quality and cost requirements.
- Manage supervisors and team members in the consistent operation of food processes through coaching, instruction, and training.
- Ensure consistent execution of policies and procedures with team leaders and collaborate with other managers, including the Human Resources Manager.
- Maintain production schedules to meet service expectations, addressing scheduling conflicts caused by downtime, test runs, sanitation, or other obstacles.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget for material usage, labor, supplies, and training.
- Analyze projected sales and product mix trends to plan cost minimization strategies for manufacturing.
- Communicate effectively across departments to resolve issues and support continuous improvement.
- Supervise and monitor work performance through hiring decisions, disciplinary actions, and realignment of staffing as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; engineering degree highly preferred or advanced engineering coursework completed.
- First Aid, Hazmat, Lockout/Tagout certifications, and a valid driver’s license.
- Minimum seven years of production/manufacturing experience with supervisory responsibility.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and AIB.
- Demonstrated leadership and team‑building skills for supervising professional and non‑professional staff.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal and state laws, regulations, and operating guidelines.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and shift as required.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and company‑specific software.
- Analytical and reasoning skills to interpret and apply technical literature.
- Knowledge of regulatory policies applicable to C.H. Guenther & Son.
Work Conditions
- Exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and noise.
- Physical demands include standing, sitting, walking, lifting packages up to 50 pounds, fine dexterity, and frequent kneeling, crawling, and twisting to inspect equipment.
- Use of personal protective equipment as defined by the company.

Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $95,938.00 – $178,010.00. Benefits include health and disability insurance, retirement savings options, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, educational assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company‑paid holidays.
