Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Manager (CNC Machining) to lead our machine shop operations. This role drives production performance, supervises CNC and manual departments, and partners with Engineering, Quality, and Production to solve manufacturing challenges.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of leadership in manufacturing, strong CNC/manual machining knowledge, and MasterCAM programming experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Manufacturing Management or Machine Shop Leadership.
• Hands-on CNC and manual machining experience.
• Proficiency with MasterCAM programming.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience improving processes and driving Lean initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily manufacturing and machine shop operations.
• Manage CNC and manual machining departments.
• Mentor and develop machinists, programmers, and production staff.
• Ensure schedules, quality, and on-time delivery commitments.
• Improve machining processes using MasterCAM and best practices.
• Monitor KPIs: productivity, efficiency, scrap, quality, labor utilization.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to resolve issues.
• Improve equipment utilization and overall performance.
• Ensure safety and quality policy compliance.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.

Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 + Benefits

Lead Manufacturing Operations and Drive Results

We are seeking an experiencedManufacturing Managerwith a strong background inCNC machining, manual machining, and MasterCAM programmingto lead our manufacturing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who can manage people, improve processes, and drive production performance in a fast-paced machine shop environment.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading manufacturing teams, optimizing production processes, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee daily manufacturing and machine shop operations
• Manage CNC and manual machining departments
• Supervise, mentor, and develop machinists, programmers, and production personnel
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and on-time delivery
• Support and improve machining processes using MasterCAM and CNC best practices
• Monitor key performance indicators including productivity, efficiency, scrap, quality, and labor utilization
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
• Improve equipment utilization, reliability, and overall operational performance
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and quality standards
• Identify and implement cost-saving and process improvement opportunities

QualificationsRequired:

• 5+ years of Manufacturing Management, Production Management, or Machine Shop Leadership experience
• Strong hands-on knowledge of CNC machining operations
• Experience with manual machining equipment and processes
• Working knowledge of MasterCAM programming
• Experience leading manufacturing, machine shop, or production teams
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
• Strong understanding of tooling, machine setup, machining strategies, feeds, and speeds
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
• Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Knowledge of GD&T and quality inspection processes
• Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment

Compensation & Benefits:
