Job summary

Omni One is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead a large, non-union plastics manufacturing facility. You will direct production, quality, and safety goals while driving lean initiatives and capital projects.

You will mentor a team, participate in hiring, coach lean culture, and collaborate with the Quality Manager to meet standards and audits. The role requires hands-on leadership with a strong safety and quality background.

Qualifications

• BS degree preferred; AS acceptable.
• 5-10 years leading manufacturing operations (auto/plastics preferred).
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma and CI.
• Hands-on leadership strongly desired.
• Strong safety and quality background.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations of a large, non-union manufacturing facility.
• Lead capital equipment projects with funding, timelines and projections.
• Drive lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives across the plant.
• Pursue safety and quality goals and zero incident targets.
• Chair the plant Safety Committee.
• Assist in hiring and train-on-boarding of new staff.
• Collaborate with the Quality Manager to meet audits and standards.

Main duties of the Manufacturing Manager include:

• Lead overall operations of a large, non-union manufacturing facility, ensuring all production, quality and safety goals are consistently met
• Lead capital equipment projects, including all project funding, timelines, projections and overall project success
• Lead lean manufacturing and six sigma initiatives, driving this kind of culture throughout the facility
• Drive safety and quality goals and achievements (zero incident goal for safety)
• Lead the plant Safety Committee
• Aid in hiring new plant talent and establish new employee training methods and goals
• Work closely with the plant Quality Manager to ensure audits meet all standards

Qualifications include:

• BS degree in a technical field preferred, but not required. AS degrees would be ok
• 5-10 years of experience leading manufacturing operations, preferably automotive industry and preferably a plastics manufacturing plant
• Experience using tools such as Lean, Six Sigma and CI
• Hands-on leadership experience strongly desired
