Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational certificate in welding, maintenance, electrical, or related field preferred.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints to diagnose problems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, including cleaning, oiling, lubricating, changing belts and machinery as necessary.
• Identify root causes of unexpected breakdowns; repair quickly to decrease downtime.
• Record and report damaged or worn parts; order and install replacements.
• Prepare reports documenting work performed.
• Maintain shop areas, inventory, and supplies.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
• Collaborate with department heads on new products and modifications.
• Implement tests and modifications based on test results.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and lead or participate in solutions.
• Wear PPE to promote a zero-accident culture.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
