Job summary

Qualified Staffing is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations in the Raleigh/Durham area. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and working with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, experience in industrial maintenance, and the ability to read schematics and manuals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Experience troubleshooting motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors or similar industrial equipment.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document completed maintenance work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance/production team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment issues
• Diagnose equipment failures and help identify root causes
• Troubleshoot motors, sensors, controls, VFDs and other electrical components
• Maintain and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Perform equipment inspections, adjustments and repairs to minimize downtime
• Assist with installation, setup and modification of production equipment
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics and technical drawings
• Complete work orders and document maintenance activities using a CMMS or similar system
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability
• Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and required PPE
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
