Qualifications

  • 2-year Electro-Mechanical degree preferred.
  • Experience working in an industrial setting with machine processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety initiatives and prioritize safety in all tasks.
  • Perform repairs on equipment and troubleshoot issues.
  • Create work orders using SAP.

Skills

Excellent communication skills
Experience with shop tools
Understanding of hydraulic systems
Understanding of pneumatic systems

Job Description

Role Overview

This role involves servicing and supporting manufacturing operations to maximize production output through expedient machine repairs, procurement of repair parts, preventive maintenance, safety, and maintaining building systems.

Opportunities are available on the south side of Oshkosh at Amcor's Oshkosh Converter Films, Specialty Films, and South facilities, conveniently located off HWY 41!

Compensation: $34-$42/hour based on skill set, with $1.20 night shift premiums and 1.5x pay on Sundays!

Shifts:

2-2-3 Rotating 12-hour shifts (rotate every two weeks - half the year off!)

What You Will Do

  • Lead safety initiatives and prioritize safety in all tasks.
  • Perform repairs on equipment.
  • Create and understand work orders using SAP.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to maximize output.
  • Participate in developmental projects, collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, and vendors.
  • Serve as a technical resource for on-site staff.
  • Follow procedures, work instructions, and complete forms as required.

What We Value

  • Experience with shop tools.
  • Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • PLC troubleshooting skills (Allen Bradley 500 and 5000).
  • Ability to wire systems up to 480 volts for industrial machinery.
