For hourly positions: Mon-Fri 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM

Responsibilities

The Technical Lead A role is an advanced machine technician position responsible for understanding an assigned machine center, performing minor repairs, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting machine operation. This role aims to develop capabilities to progress to a mechanic level role.

Responsibilities include:

1. Supporting operators through troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment.
2. Learning and understanding all SOPs for mechanic and operator roles.
3. Operating all equipment within normal parameters and set points.
4. Executing work orders, including special projects, rebuilds, and installations.
5. Working with urgency to repair and restart lines quickly.
6. Developing basic maintenance knowledge.
7. Performing intermediate electrical troubleshooting.
8. Executing PMs during planned stoppages, focusing on project work, installation, tagging, and work order completion.
9. Collaborating with vendors for startup, improvements, and modifications.
10. Training operators on equipment standards and technical modules.
11. Understanding equipment losses and developing plans to reduce downtime, focusing on the highest loss machines per line.
12. Providing vacation support for senior technicians and crew leads.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Understanding of Continuous Improvement methods.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

• Technical degree in industrial maintenance.
• At least 1 year of technical coursework from an accredited technical school.
• 1-3 years of experience as an entry-level mechanic or in a technical apprenticeship.
