Georg Fischer LLC is seeking a skilled technician for injection molding production. You will start and shut down machines, assemble/dismantle molds, and set up robotics tooling to support timely manufacturing.
You’ll maintain documentation, ensure material traceability, and perform maintenance to minimize downtime. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, 2–5 years in manufacturing, and training completed within 18 months.
Starts and shuts down injection molding machines. Troubleshoots injection molding machines. Assembles injection molds from start to finish for production runs. Removes and installs plastic injection molds of varying sizes and complexities in molding machines according to work order specifications. Sets up End of Arm tooling for robotic part removal. Ensures proper materials are used at each machine by managing raw molding materials ensuring traceability and preventing contamination. Provides molded components in a timely manner to ensure production schedules are met. Maintains set-up records on tools, preventative maintenance and run profiles. Troubleshoots and makes repairs to Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic Systems to a minimum of 120v unassisted and up to 480v assisted. Performs minor repairs to plumbing systems. Performs Preventive Maintenance on all equipment in assigned areas. Other duties as assigned.
Exposure to machine noise. Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production area. Working conditions are normal for a high-volume manufacturing environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds and working in and around heavy equipment. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and work boots. This role may require walking in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
