Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or skilled trades or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years operating an injection molding machine.
• Minimum 3 years in skilled trade capacity working on Injection Molding machinery.
• Knowledge in setup of plastic molding machinery.
• Familiar with hydraulics, electricity and pneumatics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair circuits using schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to properly use equipment and tools to check and repair machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment, documenting PM with the Maintenance Manager.
• Inspect equipment daily to ensure safe and proper operating conditions.
• Assist with major repairs to machines, equipment or components as needed.
• Submit requests for approval of replacement parts, equipment, or components.
• Follow safety precautions per MPI's OSHA requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
• Follow safety, housekeeping, and company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to environmental procedures for spills, containment, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Coordinate and maintain duties in a flexible manner; support continuous operations.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Machine Maintenance's primary responsibility is to ensure that equipment is safely operating and meets its intended use optimizing equipment up-time. The purpose of the Machine Maintenance employee is to make scheduled and unscheduled repairs on all machines and related equipment used in manufacturing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Ensure preventative / predictive maintenance on equipment, machinery, tools and document PM through the Maintenance Manager.
• Review and inspect equipment on a daily basis for safe and proper operating conditions.
• Assist with major job repairs to machine, equipment or components when needed.
• Submit requests to Machine Maintenance Manager for proper approval and authorization for machine replacement parts, equipment or components.
• Follow all safety precautions on repairs to equipment, machinery and tools per MPI's / OSHA requirements.
• Any other job deemed necessary by the Machine Maintenance Manager.
• Follows all safety, housekeeping, and company policies and procedures.
• Follows all environmental procedures concerning spills, containment and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performs other related duties and assignments as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Skilled trades or Equivalent.
• Some college or technical education with courses in Hydraulic circuits, blue print reading, components repairs and Electrical circuits.
• Minimum 3 years Operation of an injection molding machine.
• Minimum 3 years in skilled trade capacity working on Injection Molding machinery.
• Knowledge in the Set-up of plastic molding machinery.
• Familiar with the principles of hydraulics, electricity and pneumatics.
• Ability to trouble shoot and repair circuits using schematics, blueprints and sketches.
• Ability to properly use equipment and tools to check and repair machinery.
