Job summary

Borden Dairy is seeking a maintenance technician to install, maintain, and repair production equipment. You will inspect equipment and perform preventative maintenance to ensure reliable operation.

This role requires the ability to troubleshoot electronic systems, read specs, and work overtime or varying shifts as needed. A safety‑minded approach is essential for success at our facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or related maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventive maintenance inspection and service on all production and manufacturing equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company guidelines.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of equipment to the desired company performance standards.
• Interface, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic computerized systems and equipment.
• Comply with all company work and safety rules and regulatory compliance rules and regulations.
• Use all personal protective equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Possess the necessary personal tools to perform duties.
• Supports team and organizational goals through additional duties as required.

POSITION SUMMARY

Borden Dairy is seeking asafety-consciousandquality-focusedprofessional to join our team asaMaintenanceTechnician.In this dynamic role, you willinstall,maintain, and repair production and manufacturing equipment. Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform BASIC preventative maintenance inspection and service on all production and manufacturing equipmentin accordance withmanufacturer specifications and company guidelines.
• Perform BASIC troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, andmaintenance ofequipment to the desiredcompany'sperformance standards.
• Interface, troubleshoot,diagnose, and repair electronic computerized systems and equipment
• Comply withall company work and safety rules and regulatory compliance rules and regulations.
• Use all personal protective equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Possess the necessary personal tools to perform duties.
• Supports team and organizational goals through additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED equivalentrequired.
• One year certificate from college or technical school; orone-yearrelated experience and/or training in manufacturingequipmentmaintenance and repair; or equivalent combination of continued education and experience.

Other Functions:

• Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record datarequired.
• Mustbe willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, asrequired.
• Must be able tofrequentlystand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion.
• Must be able tofrequentlylift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills anda systematicapproach to troubleshooting and problem solvingisrequired.

Preferred but notrequired:

• Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays).
• Experience with conveyors (air cylinders, diverters, sensors, motor/speed controls).
• Experience with electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting)
• Experience with electronics (e.g., level probes, flow meters, drives/VFDs, etc.).
• Experience with gearing and gear boxes (rebuilds, ordering parts, machining parts).
• Experience with hydraulic systems (high pressure cylinders, pumps, valves, troubleshooting).
• Experience with kinematics (e.g., line speed/sprocket size ratios, etc.).
• Review rating instructions.
• Experience with packaging/high speed production (e.g., bottling, consumer products, etc.).
• Experience with pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting).
• Experience with pneumatics/air compression (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.).
• Experience with preventative maintenance (computerized preventative charts/data).
• Experience with pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• PLC, HVAC, Ammonia, Refrigeration, or other specialty certifications preferred but notrequired.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work in hot and cold climates, both indoors and outdoors.

PHYSICALDEMANDS

• Must be able tofrequentlystand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend.
• Must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50pounds;and occasionally 75 pounds.
• Must be able to work for extended periods in a cold, damp environment.
