Job summary

Axalta is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing) at the Brighton, MI facility. The role supports daily plant operations, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment such as mixers, pumps, valves, piping, boilers, and instrumentation.

Shift is Monday–Friday 7 AM–3:30 PM with possible overtime. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing and familiarity with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls.

Qualifications

Must have at least 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, plant, or industrial setting.
Experience with electrical/pneumatic controls preferred.
Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance inspections, calibrations, and troubleshoot repairs on plant electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation such as flow meters, flow switches, level sensors, temp transmitters, actuated valves, and interlocks.
Complete work orders – preventative and reactive – as prioritized by managers.
Maintain work logs, parts inventory, and preventive maintenance records.
Assist with engineering projects including layout, design, specs, and data collection for maintenance support.
Install new equipment systems or upgrades to existing ones.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
