Job summary

EssilorLuxottica in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Maintenance Planner to drive maintenance execution across lab areas. You will align preventive, predictive, and project work with production plans, ensuring materials, labor, and safety are in place for smooth shutdowns and continuous operation.

You will lead cross-functional planning meetings, draft work instructions, and manage PMs in Megamation CMMS, while coordinating with Operations, Technical, and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years in highly automated, lean/continuous flow manufacturing.
• Proficiency with a CMMS (Megamation experience a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Confident, independent decision-making and strong organizational skills.
• Proactive problem-solver with clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the hub for maintenance execution and planning within assigned lab areas.
• Coordinate routine maintenance and major shutdown events to reduce downtime.
• Organize work materials, draft clear work instructions, and define safety requirements.
• Identify and procure parts/materials for planned and PM work; write purchase requests.
• Prioritize planned, preventive, predictive, and project work with production schedules.
• Estimate labor hours for all planned maintenance activities.
• Lead weekly planning meetings with Operations, Technical, and Maintenance teams.
• Coordinate weekend/downtime activities and ensure readiness for execution.
• Create, add, and modify PMs in Megamation CMMS to keep programs current.
• Schedule external contractors for preventive maintenance.
• Tackle special projects and assumptions as needs evolve.

Your morning kicks off by reviewing the production plan and aligning preventive, predictive, and project work to minimize downtime. You refine PM tasks in Megamation, confirm contractor schedules, and queue parts and materials so that every tech on shift has what they need. Midday, you run a cross-functional huddle with Operations, Technical, and Maintenance teams, locking priorities and safety needs for the week and the upcoming weekend/downtime windows. By afternoon, you’ve issued purchase requests, firmed up estimates for labor, and adjusted plans as new information rolls in.
