Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Maintenance Tech to support automated lab operations and ensure equipment reliability. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, work instruction writing, and minimizing downtime.

Strong CMMS experience and schematic-reading skills are essential in this hands-on position. You will organize materials, procure parts, and coordinate with Operations to schedule maintenance, while attending weekly meetings to align priorities and ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in a highly automated manufacturing, lean manufacturing/continuous flow operations.
• Proficiency with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Organizes work materials, writes work instructions, specifies safety needs, and optimizes the use of maintenance labor to maximize performance and minimize downtime of lab equipment.
• Identifies and procures parts and materials needed for planned work orders and PM work orders.
• Writes purchase requests for repair and replacement parts, and contract services.
• Prioritizes planned, preventive, predictive, and project maintenance activity for assigned lab areas in concert with production schedules.
• Estimates labor requirements for all planned and preventive maintenance work orders.
• Conducts weekly meetings with Operations, Technical, and Maintenance employees to organize and prioritize maintenance work.
• Schedules maintenance activities with contractors on Preventative Maintenance on equipment.
