Job summary

Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Manager in the Jacksonville-Springfield, IL area. The role leads a multidisciplinary team to maximize equipment uptime while ensuring a safe, compliant plant environment.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in industrial maintenance or facilities, with 5+ years in leadership, and strong PLC, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power distribution knowledge. Proficiency with CMMS (SAP/Maximo/UpKeep) and AutoCAD is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical field preferred.
• 7–10 years in industrial maintenance or facilities management with 5+ years in leadership in a large plant.
• Deep understanding of PLCs, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power distribution.
• Experience with CMMS (SAP/Maximo/UpKeep) and AutoCAD.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and high-pressure response abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical distribution, compressed air, boilers, and plumbing for a safe, climate-controlled production environment.
• Lead and mentor maintenance technicians, electricians, and mechanics.
• Plan and manage CAPEX projects including new equipment installations and plant expansions.
• Ensure OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory compliance and safety programs (LOTO, NFPA 70E).
• Manage maintenance budget, spare parts, MRO procurement, and vendor contracts.
• Drive Lean TPM for improved OEE and streamlined workflows.
