Job summary

Bodycote is seeking a safety-conscious team member for a 1st shift role. You will place customer parts in/out of containers, maintain safety and housekeeping, and report any issues to supervisors in a regulated environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year manufacturing experience preferred, and forklift/crane experience is a plus. The role pays $20.00–$23.00 per hour with overtime eligibility and full benefits.

Qualifications

• May be required to work overtime or weekends.
• Must obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
• Must be able to work 1st shift; 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Place customer parts onto, into or out of baskets, tubs, or racks.
• Report any problems to HIP Operator, Supervisor or management.
• Promote safety and good housekeeping.
• Report environmental concerns related to processes to Supervisor.
• Safely handle inventory to prevent loss or damage.
• Ability to report to work on time and follow directions.

Summary: Performs essential job functions as directed under close supervision.

Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of, but are not limited to the following.

• Efficiently and carefully place customer parts onto, into or out of baskets, tubs, racks or other containers as required.
• Immediately brings any unusual problem, irregularity or concern to HIP Operator, Supervisor or management.
• Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
• Must be aware of environment concerns caused by process and report deficiencies to Supervisor.
• Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
• Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.

• This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• Crane and Forklift experience preferred.
• Must be able to work 1st shift; Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of, but are not limited to the following.

• Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment
• Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions
• Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions
• Ability to lift up to 35/lbs.
• May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
• Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions
• Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
• Ability to hear in person and via phone.

Pay & Benefits Information

The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour. Starting pay is determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with state and federal law.

This role is eligible for additional compensation, including shift differential, etc., if applicable.
